About
Built for the parts counter, not adapted to it
Most point-of-sale software is written for cafés and boutiques, then sold to everyone else. Motor parts retail has different problems, and this was built around those.
Why it exists
The problems we set out to fix
- Connections fail. A shop on a residential line loses the internet in the middle of a Saturday rush. Software that stops selling at that moment costs real money, so this one does not stop.
- Parts catalogues are enormous. Thousands of SKUs with near-identical names, viscosities, sizes and cross-compatible models. Import has to survive a messy spreadsheet, not demand a clean one.
- Compatibility is the question customers ask. Parts carry manufacturer, brand, model compatibility and unit of measure as first-class fields, because "will this fit" is the whole conversation.
- Branches drift apart. Stock, reorder points and receipt settings are per store, and the owner can see all of them side by side without asking anyone to send a spreadsheet.
- Counter staff are busy. Scanner-first, keyboard-driven, one key to complete a sale, and the cart survives a power cut.
How we build
What we will not do
We do not claim features we have not built
There is no automatic VAT calculation, no dedicated refund screen, no loyalty programme and no built-in card processing. You will find that stated on the features page too, rather than discovered after you have committed.
We do not sit between you and your money
Payment method is recorded for your reporting. Your existing card terminal and e-wallet stay exactly as they are, and we take no cut.
We do not hold your data hostage
Everything exports to CSV, Excel or PDF. If you self-host, the database is on your own machine.
Deployment
Three ways to run it
The whole system is containerised and documented, so where it runs is your decision rather than ours.
Managed for you
We run it, keep it patched, and back it up nightly. You get a web address, staff accounts and a support contact.
Your own server
The whole system is containerised and documented for self-hosting, including HTTPS certificates and automated database backups.
Your cloud account
Deploy into your own DigitalOcean or AWS account so the infrastructure, the data and the bill all stay under your name.
Managed hosting runs on HTTPS with automatic certificate renewal and a nightly off-site database backup.
Contact
Talk to a person
No contact form, no ticket queue, no chatbot. Email us and you will get a reply from someone who knows how the software works.
Existing customer with a problem on the shop floor? Sign in at webapp.jccinventory.com and mention your store code when you write to us.
Ready to see it running in your store?
We'll walk you through the POS terminal, cut the network mid-sale, and show you the sync queue clear itself.
